Oaklife Ltd’s business is the training and development of people whether they are management, leaders or regular staff. We will also train your trainers.

If your organisation is thinking of offering QCF/RCF awards through training and assessment, we can set up your assessment centre from scratch to approval status for delivery of qualifications according to the requirements of the awarding body. We will assist with writing the required policy and assessment strategies. We will also train your assessors to deliver the qualification.

We will act as consultant and advise on any apsect of Leadership and Management and Training and Development of training staff including national assessments.

We will also assist in setting up your assessment centre for any type of approval for awards and accreditation.

Our Business Development Team can advise on how to gain or regain and retain your clients by providing solutions to help grow your business and build excellent client relationships. This includes the use of Social Media marketing, website optimisation and the creation and management of email and hard-copy newsletters.

We are now in a position to develop online courses and deploy these on your online learning platform.

Paul (Pablo) Mayne, MA, Cert Ed, MInstLM

Managing Director

Paul spent 12 years in the military, following which he served in UK Law Enforcement for 26 years retiring as a Detective Chief Inspector, Head of Fraud Squad and Central Operations.

He obtained a Masters Degree in Training and Development Systems Management whilst serving as a police trainer. He has a Cert Ed and NVQs in adult learning.

As a national police trainer, Paul spent 8 years training and developing police officers from recruit stage through to supervisory and senior management in a variety of disciplines including personal safety, criminal law, criminal investigation, investigative interview techniques, first aid, team development and management skills. The latter included Head of Centre responsibilities for accreditation of staff in Leadership and Management (ILM) and Personal Development (CIPD). He also trained and assessed trainers to deliver programmes to Diploma and Certificate in Education and Training (previously DTTLS & CTTLS Levels 3, 4 and 5) on behalf of the Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. He remains an accredited assessor.

Paul also spent a number of years as a course and programme designer; designing curriculae and sessions for UK law enforcement. He also developed his Force’s inaugural e-learning system.

He is currently acting as a consultant Skills for Justice Awards Assessment Manager and Head of Assessment Centre for Hawkins Forensic Investigation and Gardiner Associates Training & Research Ltd.

Paul also runs corporate development programmes and leadership & management sessions in unique woodland environments in association with the National Trust at Hatfield Forest with sister company Woodlife Trails.


Current Projects



Paul is currently consultant Accreditation Manager and Head of Centre for Skills for Justice Awards Level 5 Certificate in Fire Investigation on behalf of Gardiner Associates Training & Research – GATR (part of Hawkins Forensics Investigation Group.)

Paul has also developed online Fire Investigation courses via Moodle LMS for GATR. These will shortly be deployed on an online portal. Oaklife Ltd will be responsible for site maintenance and development of other additional courses.
